Message by Senior Pastor Max Meiruntu (Sunday 21 October 2018)
Total commitment means keeping the promise, completing the course and finishing the task without quitting.
Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name. But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.- Hebrews 13:15-16
Where there is total commitment, there is a sacrifice. The difference between the Old Testament and New Testament in regards to sacrifice is that in the Old Testament, animals were used as sacrifice and were killed. In the New Testament, we are the sacrifice and we are alive.
We cannot be cleaned unless Christ cleans us. When He has cleaned us, we can live for Him. We must glorify Him because He paid the ultimate price. He paid a huge price, therefore we are worth a lot.
You might think that you're nothing. But Jesus sees you as something - specifically, something precious. You are very precious to Him. You are the chosen one. We are not Holy, but He makes us Holy.
God doesn't demand us to sacrifice. He wants us to be the sacrifice.
You must exercise your responsibility. It is your choice to serve. You are not forced into doing anything. But it is your responsibility to decide whether you want to make a commitment to God. When you choose to make a commitment to God, ask God to search your heart for a practical commitment. It's not responsible of you to make a commitment that you can't keep.
"Remember how short my time is; For what futility have You created all the children of men? What man can live and not see death? Can he deliver his life from the power of the grave? Selah"
- Psalms 89:47-48
Make time for God because He gives us time. Our time is given by Him, for Him. It's time for us to give time to the Lord.
"Turn away my eyes from looking at worthless things, And revive me in Your way."
- Psalms 119:37
